National Service Scheme(NSS)

  • The college started NSS (National Service Scheme, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India), in 2007 with one unit of 100 volunteers. By providing this opportunity the college tends to inculcate the feelings of selfless service, team work, discipline, humanitarianism and community service as emphasized in the NSS motto i.e. NOT ME BUT You. The NSS unit achieves its aim by organizing different camps and activities during the academic session. The volunteers also get benefited in terms of grades during higher education.

In the previous academic session 52 volunteers participated in the 7-day NSS camp at the college campus, 13 students of our college also participated in Youth Leadership Hiking and Trekking camp organised by Youth Welfare Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh at District Nauni, Solan. In this camp Jaspreet Kaur, a student of B.A.-II was awarded with the 'Best Camper Award'
